Hello
I’m experiencing a specific issue that follows these steps:
While playing Wow, if I press Tab or log in, my screen freezes, then darkens (still illuminated) and the sound cuts out for a few seconds. After it recovers, an AMD app error message appears.

Today I chose to uninstall the AMD application and reinstall it. However, during the uninstallation process at around 92%, it became unresponsive and then triggered a BSOD. I re-installed the AMD app/drivers, but when checking the installed applications, I noticed two AMD programs: one named 'amd chipset software' and another called 'Amd software'. I attempted to remove 'Amd software' earlier, but it still appears.

My concern is what might be causing this problem and how to resolve it. Here’s the information I have:
PCPartPicker Part List
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor ($449.00 @ Best Buy)
CPU Cooler: Deepcool AK620 (68.99 CFM)

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-6400 CL32 ($204.99 @ Amazon)

Video Card: Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24 GB ($899.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: MSI MPG A850G PCIE5 850 W (80+ Gold Certified, Modular ATX) ($109.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $1988.96 (includes shipping, taxes, and discounts)

What BIOS version do you have installed on your motherboard? It might be useful to check if reinstalling your chipset drivers improves things. Then, use DDU to uninstall all GPU drivers (Intel, Nvidia, AMD) in Safe Mode, and finally install the newest GPU driver from AMD's support site with an elevated command, such as right-clicking the installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Hello,
I own a 7900XT GPU and when playing WoW, if I pause, my PC sometimes freezes, the screen goes black briefly, then returns after a few seconds. I've tried reinstalling drivers but it hasn't resolved the problem. Occasionally the screen turns black even though it's still lit, and sound works but I can't see anything. At this stage, I have to perform a hard reboot.
