You've got a new chipset installed on your older Intel system, which should work with your MSI B650 and Ryzen 7. The power draw and lighting issues might be related to the GPU not being properly recognized or initialized. The BIOS warning about unrecognized SSDs could mean one or both of your drives aren't detected correctly—even though the part picker says they are compatible. Double-check the drive connections, try a different USB port, and ensure the SSDs are seated firmly. If the problem persists, verify the BIOS settings for proper firmware updates.

It's worth mentioning that my GPU consumes power during startup, yet the fans cease operation afterward.

What graphics card is installed? Have you experimented with DP and HDMI connections? Are the previous SSDs turned off and secure boot activated? MBR SSDs may not be identified as boot devices if those settings are applied, though they should still appear.

The GPU is an ASUS GeForce 4060 OC. I haven’t tested your suggested booting methods, but I’ll try them anyway. This might be an issue related to the new chipset.

According to what I understand, Windows 11 needs your boot device to support GPT, and with CSM enabled, secure boot can't be turned on. This suggests most modern boards now disable CSM for compatibility. If CSM is off, you won't be able to boot from an MBR drive anymore. They should still function properly if you have a GPT boot device and use it as a secondary drive inside the OS. Have you checked for BIOS updates on the B650 board?

My setup is active on the motherboard, and Windows is functioning perfectly. All NVIDIA and MOMO drivers are installed along with the BIOS. However, the GPU remains unresponsive.

Have you tested various results on the 4060? It could simply mean the card is inactive or out of play.

It seems like you're considering a possibility that things might not work out.
