I'm setting up my first PC build in the UK and need advice on my GPU. Initially, I considered a 5070 Ti but was deterred by issues with melting connectors and fire hazards, so I switched to the 9070 XT. I’m considering a used GPU as a temporary solution while deciding what to do next, and also as a future backup. A 1080 costs around £105 and a 1060 about £60. Within a budget of £50 to £125, any other suggestions would be appreciated? Also, if I opt for the 1080, will I be stuck with it forever, making an upgrade seem unavoidable later? My last PC was an 8-year-old model when GPUs were pricier, so I bought a 1050 Ti hoping to upgrade later when prices dropped. Well, guess what I’m still using now (1050 Ti), so I tend to prefer the simpler choice. Thanks.

I would advice against buying a second hand discrete GPU. Instead work off the iGPU, provided the platform you're looking at has it. The AM5 platform, outside of the JF SKU has an iGPU while all processors within Intel's lineups with the F suffix lack an iGPU.
What sort of use cases are you going to tax the discrete GPU with anyway? What resolution and refresh rate?
