I clearly recall assembling this device with the sticks in the right order (kit 1 in 1&3, kit 2 in 2&4). I've been using it daily for 8 to 16 hours over the past two and a half years, and I've never faced any problems typically linked to faulty RAM.

I’m starting to think my main problem was related to a GPU driver update. It was outdated, and I’m not sure what Nvidia’s changes did to the drivers I had installed.

It's still worth a shot... troubleshooting follows this approach, excluding other possibilities. It might sound like RAM issues, but resetting CMOS and restoring default settings would rule out any questionable OC adjustments. Maybe a minor update caused this, who knows? Check for recent updates, BIOS changes, or chipset modifications. If reinstalling the GPU driver doesn't help, try it again after wiping the old driver using DDU (unless you've already done so).

My Windows version was released in April, and my GPU driver hasn’t been updated for a while... The clean install of the GPU driver seems to be working fine.

completely feasible, likely not just due to being old but because it caused problems... GPU drivers often do that sometimes... The longest time I stayed on the same driver without issues was around 1.5 years, but it's usually closer to 3 to 6 months, I don’t update them willingly since issues usually appear then lol.

It seems the shader cache might be getting corrupted because every time you switch drivers, the shaders need to be recompiled. I’m not sure if reinstalling the same ones will fix it—maybe the installer removes them. You could try deleting them manually, but I’m not sure where they’re stored.

Update on this issue: Issue is still ongoing. Just to double check it wasn't something being caused by Chromium (when I still only encountered it during web browsing) I swapped to Firefox. Still happens seemingly more frequently whilst watching Youtube. Have encountered it outside of web browser usage now, happened whilst using PSX2 with no other windows open and only standard background apps running (Steam, Discord, MSI Afterburner.) All of a sudden the application froze entirely. Frame frozen, no audio, uninteractable. Opening up Task Manager performance tab once again reported 100% GPU usage for 3D and -1% on Video Encode/Decode. Updating GPU drivers did not help. I also checked my RAM sticks, the serials on them are identically sequential (last digits are 3,4,5,6) and would like to reiterate that this is a relatively new problem on a 2~ year old build. I really don't want to go down to 16GB of RAM, as I do use it whilst gaming and I'm not in a financial position to spend £100 on a 32GB pair of DDR4. I'm so desperate that I might try upgrading to Windows 11 to see if that solves it for whatever reason. Oh god.... Is this Microsoft's way of convincing us now?

I just ran a Memtest for four hours and got no errors. Now I'm feeling frustrated.
