It seems the laptop displays the GPU in Device Manager and BIOS, but it doesn’t function properly inside Windows. The new drivers haven’t worked after updating Windows. Is there a method to reset the CMOS in this Lenovo IDEAPad Gaming 3 with AMD CPU? Please share the attached pictures for assistance—could it be dead or another issue?

Check the Device Manager for the GTX 1650 to see if it's listed and enabled.

Your laptop offers adjustable graphics settings. Ensure "High-performance NVIDIA processor" is chosen in the NVIDIA Control Panel. https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutio...ps-windows You might also find a method to turn off switchable graphics and keep the Nvidia chip active continuously through one of the Lenovo utilities included with your device.

Do you have this feature in Vantage? (The choices you see might differ from mine since yours is a completely different type of laptop.) If yes, click it and check if you can enable dGPU mode. According to what I know, modern gaming laptops usually switch to iGPU during light tasks and then use dGPU for heavier workloads to conserve battery. (Some models with Optimus or Advanced Optimus do this.) Of course, there are also laptops without advanced optimization, so the dGPU always goes through iGPU for the internal screen. Edit: The model mentioned in the review is likely the same as yours (Ideapad Gaming 3, 2021 version). From the creator's records, it isn't listed, so I think it doesn’t even have a Mux Switch. https://jarrods.tech/list-of-gaming-lapt...ux-switch/ What is a Mux Switch? https://jarrods.tech/what-is-a-mux-switc...g-laptops/ What is Advanced Optimus? https://jarrods.tech/nvidia-introduces-a...c-for-all/ Updated March 7, 2024 by Poinkachu Adding More Info
