If anyone knows or has experience. What (preferably Nvidia) GPU would be required to run games at 1080p 60fps?

I initially considered the RTX 2060, but I still believe it’s a solid choice. It’s close to the GTX 1080, which I use for 1080p gaming, and it performs well at 60 fps on ultra settings in 1080p. It handles any game I’ve tried smoothly at that resolution.

The card might be a bit expensive for recreating Tekno Parrot retro arcade games. Are there other options available?

Well... you mentioned Teknoparrot, and then you asked about the GPU needed for running games at 1080p 60fps.
So the RTX 2060 and similar models will handle most games at that resolution and frame rate.
For something like Teknoparrot, you might be able to get by with less, though I’m not entirely certain.
A GTX 1030 could probably work too, but I’m not completely confident.

Teknoparrot isn't an emulator, it's a software tool for loading PC arcade games on a standard computer. It doesn't emulate hardware like a console does. Instead, it works directly with your PC's capabilities. The main difference lies in the input/output, allowing you to use a USB controller rather than the original game board.

Some older arcades used very basic PCs, while others ran on more powerful machines. My setup uses an old I7 3930k with a Nvidia GTX 680, which supports most of the current Teknoparrot games and other cracked PC arcade titles. I expect newer arcades to require upgrades soon.

For a better understanding, you can check the specifications of the original arcade PCs for each game.
