I recently changed my PCIe cable because of exposed copper wiring and wanted to avoid any problems. I purchased one from Corsair and installed it, but now my GPU fans are extremely loud. Even when running at low loads, their speed jumps to over 2000 RPM, making the PC sound like a jet engine. I attempted to tweak fan curves using various software and BIOS settings, but even at minimal speeds, the fans remain very noisy (1200+ RPM). I’m worried about this issue. My setup includes an RTX 4070 Ti Super and a Corsair RM 750E power supply. The previous cable didn’t cause this problem, but it started after switching it out. It’s a 16-pin to dual 8-pin type 4 cable, and it’s connected directly from the GPU to the PSU. Thank you all for your assistance!

The easiest way I know of is testing with a different power supply to check if the same problem appears. Good luck!
