I assembled a setup using a Chinese x99 board and an Intel Xeon e5 2630 v4 just to experience those Ali Express bundles. However, I’m facing problems with a 1070 in the build. After booting, everything works fine, but when you apply any workload to the GPU it instantly cranks up the RPM to maximum and halts until the machine is fully shut down. No software has managed to resolve the issue. I replaced the GPU with 30-series cards, which functioned perfectly with the motherboard. Placing the 1070 on a test bench showed normal performance under stress tests. I’m unsure where the GPU isn’t functioning and would appreciate any guidance or clarification.
