GPU fails to appear after updating the Nvidia driver.
I just got my GT 730 and am still saving for a new GPU. My dad gave me a GTX 550TI, which works fine on my PC (no integrated graphics). When I tried to install the driver for the GTX 550TI, the screen went black and the PC restarted repeatedly. I tried several fixes like the DDU hotfix, but it didn’t help. Since my PSU is 700W, I don’t think power issues are the problem. Need advice!
Sure, but note that the software fails to install on your system and shows an error code 43 in Device Manager.
Run Windows in safe mode to check for restarts. If it continues, it suggests a driver problem, possibly due to incorrect or incomplete DDU removal.
I also tried it, but it doesn't function properly. On DDU I used the Clean and Restart option, yet it still didn't work (and I went into safe mode). Edit: I should have noted that it boots normally in safe mode. Edited March 26, 2024 by SleepyTsukii
It's odd if it runs in safe mode; I'd think it points to a driver problem, unless the driver is incorrect or something else is at play.
I checked the details, and the driver you mentioned is correct. Using driver easy isn’t required unless you need a simpler setup.
It seems like you're referring to a navigation app that recommends drivers, but you haven't used it yourself. That looks like the incorrect driver, right? I'll look into it.
Duplicate the process, restart and clean up. Replace the GPU, then set up that ^.
