GPU exhibited unusual behavior as it attempted to identify potential reasons
I'm testing with an RX 6950XT on my setup featuring an i7 12700f and a 850w +Gold power supply from BeQuiet. Last night while watching a film, the system suddenly stopped without any error messages. After turning it back on, everything functioned normally. The event logs didn't show anything suspicious for that issue. I ran FurMark to check for hardware problems, but the GPU performance was unusual—my usual benchmark runs around 72-76 FPS at 325 watts in a room temperature of 72-76°C. This time it dropped to about 60 FPS and then increased slowly to 72 max. After 90 seconds, frame rates and power usage fell sharply to 225 watts. I updated the latest AMD driver, but the problem continued for another 20 minutes. Once I restarted the PC again, everything worked perfectly. All games ran smoothly, and FurMark gave consistent results. 72-76 FPS at 325 watts in a 72-76°C room. I'm puzzled about what might have triggered this GPU issue. Any suggestions on possible bugs or errors that could cause these kinds of problems?
