Hello everyone,
I recently performed an OC on my GPU, PowerColor RX470 Red Dragon. The new version only lets me adjust the power limit between -5% and +5%. I used AMD Wattman for the overclock.

I managed to get a clock speed of 1330 and memory at 1750, with voltage set to Auto and power limit at +5%.
Testing Unigine Heaven showed no crashes or errors. However, checking the OSD Monitoring revealed my core clock fluctuating and staying around 1300mhz, hovering between 990-1290mhz. Temperatures were about 56-61°C.

I attempted to manually increase the voltage, but the OSD indicated it wasn’t applied consistently—sometimes showing 0.937mV (default) or occasionally jumping to around 0.950mV, though never reaching a stable value above 1.000mV even when I set higher.
A10 5800k, RX470 4GB, 2x4GB DDR3 at 1866MHz, 750w PSU.

It seems the system is nearing its maximum power capacity, rendering further increases in the core clock unnecessary or harmful. In such a scenario, consider adjusting to lower power usage by switching to a reduced voltage mode.

I don’t have any information about your GPU, but you can download GPU-Z. Launch Heaven with GPU-Z enabled and check the PerfCap Reason section. This should provide a clear idea of what’s restricting your core clock. Hovering your mouse over the colored bar next to PerfCap Reason will display abbreviations like vRel and vOP. Share the result here later.

It seems you're having trouble locating a specific sensor named "PerfCap Reason" in your GPU-Z report.

I'm just getting started with Overclocking, but what you mentioned is precisely what's happening with my GPU. Even when using the factory settings, my clock doesn't stay at the default boost frequency of 1210, it keeps changing even when the GPU is fully loaded. However, if I set the voltage manually and lower it from the default 0.931 to 0.910, my clock becomes very stable at 1210 MHz. I'm confused because it seems like power limit and voltage shouldn't affect each other, but I can't figure out how they work together. Could you explain this to me?

PerfCap Reason should appear at the fourth position from the bottom. Refer to the image provided.

I attempted to remove the GPU-Z registry and reinstall it, but the PerfCap Reason remains visible.

It seems unusual. I haven't encountered that before. Was it the registry key you removed? HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\techPowerUp\GPU-Z? I saw some discussions online where others reported success with this method.

Exactly, they also mentioned it might be the standalone version, similar to mine. I removed the regkey first, downloaded the latest version, and installed it, but it wasn't displayed.
