Check your system carefully—your Ryzen 7800X3D has an integrated GPU, but leaving it on while gaming can raise temps. It’s safer to keep it off during intense use and turn it back on afterward. Avoid touching anything unless necessary.

Certain games and programs on Windows may automatically use your GPU instead of your dedicated one, leading to performance issues.

You can keep it as is if you prefer, or I can mention that on my 7700x and 9800X3D I had to turn off the iGPU because it clashed with my RTX 4080 in certain programs and games. See this discussion.

Thanks! I'll keep it that way—30 pbo should cover it.

Even when not in use, your I-GPU remains active and affects the CPU's memory controller. It also impacts power and signal delivery from the CPU package. A dedicated driver is installed for the I-GPU, which is why it’s turned off during heavy overclocking. If you don’t require it, disable it. Keep in mind that I-GPUs offer benefits like separate encoding/decoding, screen capture, efficient video streaming, lightweight AI support, or acting as a display to free up your main GPU for computing—though performance may drop if the display goes through the I-GPU.

I believed it would boost performance, but I'm holding off. Nothing is occurring, so I'm staying still.

Turn off iGPU in BIOS settings, then remove the CMOS battery to reinitialize the system.

Personally, the Ryzen 7000 iGPU feels too weak for most needs. It’s only practical for simple video playback or as a secondary screen.

The I-GPU is simply turned off, not removed from the CPU. Turning it on isn't a major concern. It's sufficient for separate decoding. Encoding might run slower. Screen capturing could be affected if your discrete GPU loses performance during recording; an I-GPU could make a big difference. I tried OBS on a laptop with an UHD 620 and it worked well.
