It appears the Nvidia 700 series and AMD R9 300 series were among the final models to feature native VGA (D-Sub) ports. DVI-I connections were also utilized then, functioning effectively with passive adapters to deliver a VGA link. These solutions persisted into the next generation, or at least lasted for some time.

Something similar to GT 730 is likely. Also, GTX 750 or GTX 750 Ti might be considered.

You can obtain an entire cable using those ends, yet even the adapter is merely a tiny component without any electronic parts.

And a model similar to GTX 780 Ti or R9 390X should easily suffice for that outdated CPU. It's not only about speed or the card's age, but also about compatibility with instructions. The K10 chips don't support SSE4.2 or AVX, which means newer titles often encounter problems. This implies you won't be able to run any 2025 D3D12 games on it. Therefore, a D3D11 card would be sufficient.

Additionally, the power supply is a factor. A 390 W unit is somewhat limited for larger cards. The Phenom model itself has a 125 W TDP, so if we're being realistic, let's allocate that for the CPU. Adding around 60 W for the motherboard and RAM leaves you with approximately 205 W available. However, this figure only accounts for the total PSU capacity, not just the 12V rails. It's more likely you'll be limited to about 260-340 W on the 12V side.

This suggests a maximum of around 150 W for the GPU, assuming the PSU can deliver that amount. Therefore, a GTX 660 Ti, GTX 760, HD 7850, or R9 270/370 would be the best options. These should work well with the CPU and fit within your power constraints while also meeting the analog output requirements.

If passive adapters aren't an option, you might need to consider a model from around 15 years ago, such as the 7600 GS. Even my 8800 GT from 2007 came with DVI-I only, and I successfully ran a CRT on it with acceptable output quality.
