Over the last weekend my 2070Super was running much hotter than before. I didn’t spend much time because I played the poorly optimized Jedi Survivor and thought maybe it was just that. Still, I cleaned the PC last Saturday by removing dust and brushing out hard-to-reach spots with my "paint" brush. It helped a bit but it remained quite warm. Today I returned to Destiny 2, which I use regularly, and noticed the temperatures are still high, with loud fan speeds. I’m starting to get concerned. Nothing in the setup has changed; everything feels the same. The CPU seems unaffected. Temperatures have risen from never exceeding 75 to 80–85 and the machine is much noisier now. Idle temps are around 32. I don’t know what’s causing it. I tried rolling back the Nvidia drivers, but it didn’t fix the issue. I’m feeling a bit stuck.

It's acceptable at 85. The GPU remains below 65°C mainly due to good ventilation and the device being new.
I don't see any problems with it operating at 85. My worry is that it jumped up 10-15 degrees without any changes in setup or surroundings. Also note the fan speed increased from about 2000 max to 2900, making the PC much noisier. For context, I have a high airflow case with three 140mm front intake fans, one 140mm rear exhaust fan, and two 140mm top exhausts linked to a radiator for the CPU.
Checked the setup, entered a mission in Destiny. Everything looks normal with the fans operating correctly. Temperature rose quickly to 82 within minutes and RPM climbed to around 2800. Noted that the case intake fans remain low and steady, which could indicate an issue—possibly insufficient airflow into the case.
Consider adjusting the fan settings for the CPU cooler and case fans. Your GPU may be overheating, so look into whether dust might be the issue.
