Got some trouble with my computer freezing up constantly?
Cool! I did too. Well, I was already in Microsoft.com and fixed my Office install. Nothing else broken yet. But if it still fails, I'll try fixing it again.
@Roland Of Gilead - I think I figured out the issue, at least heading in the right direction. I removed my GPU and ran DDU. I have been using my UHD Graphics 770 IGPU for over 24 hours and haven't seen it freeze. A few things pointed me here: 1. The icons on the taskbar wouldn't always show up. 2. When I typed something in an Excel cell and moved to the next one, the screen would flash. 3. Switching between full screen and normal view on YouTube videos would cause a hang. 4. This problem didn't start until I updated to Windows 10 version 23H2, updated my Gigabyte drives with GCC, and updated the GPU drivers. Now I need to reinstall the GPU and try it out. If the problem comes back, I have two more GPUs to try—all are AMD. The RX 6750 XT on my budget box worked perfectly with the Ryzen 5 3600. UPDATE: The GPU is in the system again with the latest Radeon drivers. So far, it seems to be working fine. But the icons on the task bar all show up now. However, time will tell if the problems are really fixed.
