As the title suggests, I've never owned a CPU with bent pins, yet the price was tempting. After careful examination, I didn't spot any bent pins, and the auction description suggests the seller might not be well-versed in computer hardware. He mentioned possibly finding two slightly bent pins and marked the part as non-functional. My concern is whether it's wise to install this on my motherboard just to test, given that it's a compatible B450 board with the latest BIOS. I'm also planning to share a photo so others can better identify any subtle bent pins that might be harder to see. Any precautions I should keep in mind?
They possibly couldn’t get it to function, so they assumed the pins were bent. A pga chip with bent pins can be repaired, unlike defective silicon. “It failed, so we’ll just claim it’s the worst possible issue.” Another possibility exists, but it’s uncertain. If it doesn’t work, avoid taking the chip with the cooler since it may have stuck to the bottom. I’m curious about the seller’s attitude toward returns. If the answer is no, it could mean the item was misrepresented.
