Google Sites issues on Cloudflare DNS settings
Hi everyone, I updated my DNS to 1.1.1.1 in the router and it initially worked perfectly. However, recently some websites like YouTube and Gmail stopped loading, while others remained functional. After switching to a VPN, I checked the Cloudflare diagnostic page, but it also didn’t load with that DNS setting. Once I switched back to Google’s DNS, everything functioned properly. I’m trying to get a more secure connection through Cloudflare instead of relying on Google. I’m curious why this is happening. P.B. I installed a VPN after the issues began and am currently using Firefox on Windows 10. I haven’t adjusted any network settings or hardware.
I wouldn't suggest relying on Cloudflare DNS at the moment. It's better to stick with 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Choosing 1.1.1.1 doesn't improve security over the first two options. I've encountered problems where it incorrectly displayed IP addresses for Google's servers, likely due to DNS poisoning or a BGP hijack.
