Google requests a reCAPTCHA verification
Hi all,
I'm uncertain if this is the appropriate place to ask. Over the last month, every time I launch Google in Mozilla Firefox on my PC, I receive a warning stating, "Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network," and it prompts me to solve a CAPTCHA.
I've cleared my cache and cookies, switched to another browser like Chrome, performed a full virus scan on my PC, and reset the router, yet I still face CAPTCHA interruptions when accessing Google.
Additionally, connecting from a different network while traveling didn't resolve the issue, suggesting the problem lies with my PC itself.
Could there be a solution, or should I consider reinstalling my operating system?
Did you check your system for malware using tools such as Malwarebytes or Hitman Pro?
Are you employing any VPN services?
Certainly conduct a virus scan just in case, but...
This issue has persisted for more than a year. I rely on Brave in Firefox. It's likely due to browser settings that block fingerprinting or JavaScript being turned off.
Google labels this as 'unusual traffic,' which is misleading.
Actually, it's because Google struggles to collect the metadata they need from your browser or computer when you perform a search, prompting them to ask for a CAPTCHA.
Begin by checking Task Manager under Startup and Task Scheduler.
There might be background processes that could be the source of the issue.
These could have started at startup or been triggered later through Task Scheduler.
Another area to examine is Reliability History/Monitor.
You might find an event or action happening just before or at the moment the Captcha appears.
The goal is to find a process linked to the Captcha.
