I just set up Windows 10 on my new PC. I added Google Drive through Ninite on drive I (or at least the cache is there). When using Google Drive, Cinebench R20 drops 1300 points, making Explorer slow and causing my C drive to overheat and freeze. Steam downloads also stop. I reinstalled it but didn’t succeed. The problem disappears when I close or pause the drive. I haven’t played games yet—how can I fix this? Also, would using Windows 11 with this hardware cause fewer issues? It’s a B650 board with a 7800x series.

I notice an issue with the software. Would you like me to skip the web version and proceed with the alternative method?

My folder updates itself regularly. I also handle the documents folder manually. This keeps everything protected and backed up consistently.

It's wise to save your data locally, as relying solely on Google isn't safe.

The issue likely stems from a hardware fault.

Plan your setup for a Nas launch with Hexos in mind.

Their site explains how to install a NAS using TrueNAS software. It’s straightforward and doesn’t require HexOS. You can also buy a ready-made hardware NAS. There are budget-friendly options available, and even the slowest models perform better than your connection to Google servers.

My Nas would be at my parents' house, making it off-site and slowing things down. Even with the recent PC upgrade, I don’t have the funds for a Nas, so I’ll have to wait. Also, an update: I fixed Google Drive by capping its cache at 100GB and bandwidth at 100Mbps (total available is 300Mbps). The system is now running smoothly and all issues are resolved.
