Okay I fixed it turns out my google chrome was sending its audio to speakers that weren't plugged in, so I reset it and now my sound works. When I open up chrome, I can play one video or audio file but after that chrome stops playing any more audio unless I close the browser and start it again. But this weird thing happens just once for each audio player. Why is this happening? And I have had this on two different desktops

I just fixed it, and guess what? My Google Chrome was sending my sound through those unplugged speakers instead of my actual ones. So I reset the settings and now it's working again.

Okay I got this straightened out. It turned out my Google Chrome was sending all my audio over to the speakers that were unplugged anyway. So I hit reset on my settings and now my sound is working again.
