Good value for a 12,700K model.
I was hoping for a 13,600k during Black Friday, but I stumbled upon this bundle. I thought I could wait, but I don’t want to miss it if they sell out. The price is listed in CAD.
the ddr5 model holds value around 80 dollars most of the time. cheaper versions of z690 typically range near 150 dollars, similar to the z690 pg version that usually sits around 150 dollars according to PCPP. a lower-end msi board like the 12700k is expected to cost about 200 to 250 dollars, but it might be worth considering at around 13,600 dollars which is close to 300 dollars. this price point is quite high, so you might want to explore better options. alternatives could include a 7700 with a b650 and 32gb ddr5, or a 13600/700k paired with z690/790 plus 32gb ddr5.
Unless you absolutely require the latest version or built-in graphics, it seems like a solid offer. Skipping now might mean missing out on better opportunities. Just a quick question: Which site is this?
The bundle remains quite solid overall. For comparison, there are a few other options worth looking at.
they offer the same choice with an ASUS Prime Z690-P Wi-Fi for $10 cheaper, and there are some AMD packages available, though they lack RAM.
Also a bit of a mess, but that 12.7 million deal is really solid.
I checked this setup with DDR4 RAM but only 16GB. The initial latency is lower, though. If I spend another $50, I could add two more sticks to reach 32GB. I believe the board is solid, but I’d likely need extra RAM for better performance. That might be a smart move. Thanks!
