Hey guys, I just switched my PC from AMD to Intel. The new setup includes an i5-6600k, an ASROCK H170X1 motherboard, CORSAIR VENGEANCE 2 with 8 GB DDR4 RAM, and MSI GTX 960. The case is CM STORM SCOUT 2 in ghost white. I need a cooler that fits under 5k and is available in India. Please recommend one.

Hey guys, I just switched my PC from AMD to INTEL.
My new setup includes an i5 - 6600k, ASROCK h170x1 motherboard, CORSAIR VENGEANCE 2 with 8 GB DDR4 RAM, and MSI GTX 960.
The cabinet I have is CM STORM SCOUT 2 in ghost white.
I need a new CPU cooler since none comes with the processor, and it should fit in my cabinet.
Could you suggest a good option under 5k that’s available in India?

Dear Cmant,
In India, prices are much higher than in the US. I had to rely on my math skills to find something suitable.
For optimal cooling of an i5 or i7, the top value is the Noctua NH-D14, which costs around 72.97 USD (approx).
Thanks...

Dear Cmant,

In India, money costs a lot compared to dollars, so finding a cooler was tricky. But I used my math skills to help.

For cooling your CPU, the top value for money is the Noctua NH-D14. It works well with i5 and i7 models and costs around 72.97 USD (approx).

Hey everyone, I just switched my PC from AMD to INTEL.
My new setup includes an i5 - 6600k, an ASROCK h170x1 motherboard, a CORSAIR VENGEANCE 2 with 8 GB DDR4 RAM, and the MSI GTX 960.
The CM STORM SCOUT 2 in ghost white cabinet is ready.
I’m looking for a new CPU cooler since none came with the processor. It should also fit in my cabinet.
Could you suggest a good option under 5k that’s available in India?

Dear Cmant,
In India, prices are much higher than in the US. I had to rely on my math skills to find something affordable.
For optimal cooling of an i5 or i7, the top value-for-money choice is the Noctua NH-D14. It’s a solid pick for these processors and costs around 4,822 RS (about $72.97 USD).
Thanks for your help!

However, in India it’s priced at 10k i.e. $150... should I consider the Cooler Master Sound 120 plus? It’s around Rs. 5000. But I’ve heard it makes a rattling noise...

Dear Cmant,
In India, currency is much more costly than in the US. Finding a suitable cooler was challenging. Thanks to my math skills, I found a solid choice.

For optimal cooling of an i5 or i7, the top value for money is the Noctua NH-D14. It’s well-suited for these processors and costs around 4,822 RS (about $72.97).

I saw it on Newegg for 4,822 RS. The Seidon is a budget closed-loop model and isn’t the best liquid cooler. Air cooling would be better. The Hyper 212 EVO is also a decent reference option.

Thanks for the assistance, man! I'm planning to go for the Hyper Evo 212X...
The Noctua was really expensive at 4899, but with shipping and customs it added up to 5000.
😀
That's crazy!
Anyway, thanks a lot!
