Good PC but low FPS
Good PC but low FPS
Hey, I recently purchased a new PC this year and spent some money, but the gaming performance isn’t quite up to expectations. For instance, in Call of Duty Cold War it’s running between 70 to 90 FPS on Ultra and around 110 to 120 FPS at the lowest settings. I’ve turned on XMP and enabled a resizable bar. Here are my specs:
CPU: Ryzen 9 5900x
GPU: RX 6800 XT
RAM: Corsair 32GB 3600MHz
MoB: Crosshair VIII Hero (WiFi)
PSU: Corsair HX 750i
Cooler: NZXT Kraken Z63
OS: Windows 10 64-bit (new install)
Details: GPU is mounted vertically with a PCIe 4.0 riser from CoolerMaster. CPU temperatures stay in the mid to high 50s during mid to high FPS, and peak around 80°C in CoD. I used to have a d3 QCode for CoD but it’s no longer available since I disabled Radeon Software at startup. I applied a Config.ini fix for CoD CW, which stabilized the FPS but still lower than expected.
Any advice or assistance would be really helpful!
Played CoD zombies with friends on high settings; game crashed. CPU temperatures reached the 80s for a short period, peaking at 87°C. Reviewed Event Viewer and saw a screenshot from that era.
