Good Motherboard?
Good Motherboard?
I discovered this motherboard during Prime sales at Amazon. I wasn't sure if the price was really worth it. The BIOS flashback button and WiFi were the highlights for me. My planned CPU is a Ryzen 5700X3D with a 6750 XT GPU. I'm a bit hesitant about spending over $100 on a board, but the extra cost isn't too much. Thoughts? Check out the link: https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-B550-PLUS-Mo...1_1?sr=8-1. Regarding ASUS and TUF, it seems unrelated unless you have more details.
The primary concern for ASUS motherboards involved voltage issues with the Ryzen 7000 X3D CPU. The main problem was their handling of the situation, as they provided poor support and communication. A BIOS update has been released to resolve this issue, benefiting other manufacturers too. This does not impact the ASUS B550 AM4 boards. The ASUS TUF B550 PLUS stands out with strong features and a well-received BIOS flashback button. It’s a solid choice and should perform well with the 5700X3D.
The B550 motherboard works well with the 5700X3D processor, VRM heatsink, and extra features. It’s solid enough for your build—whether you’re starting fresh or using existing components.
The BIOS flashback feature lets you revert to an earlier BIOS version if there are problems, yes. Also, I really like your pfp!
I own a basic laptop that functions perfectly for me. My plan is to assemble a fresh PC—currently I only have a mouse, keyboard arriving soon, and a monitor.
That is correct. Its also there so you can update the BIOS without having a CPU or GPU installed, you just need motherboard power and the CPU power pin connected. Its a great feature to have. SPEED AND POWER!
When considering pre-tax costs, an AM5 system fits within a $1000 budget.
