Good games for my new PC
So my graphics card is scheduled to arrive today, as it's my first PC. I've already downloaded some games from my laptop such as CS:GO and a few others, but I'm searching for an immersive experience with a great story and gameplay that I can enjoy for long periods. I need single-player titles so no one can ruin my session. For example, I've played games like the GTA series, Half Life series, Minecraft, Euro Truck simulator, and others. There are also games I haven't tried but thought about—The Witcher Series, Metro, Skyrim. My system isn't very powerful, but the requirements shouldn't be a big problem. Also, I don’t want VR games. Any recommendations would be appreciated, and it would be nice if you could include a trailer without it.
what are your pc specifications, please? this will help us recommend games with great fps and graphics while ensuring an excellent storytelling experience.
Also, mention that there are no dead spaces for all the jump scares, but you decide. The F.E.A.R. series is enjoyable too, though I can't recall much from when I was young and played it.
I enjoy playing a variety of games such as rocket league, destiny 2, gta 5, and fortnite when I get bored.
Wasn't Far Cry 3 better?
Here are my ideas beyond the usual suggestions—especially the ones not already discussed (like comparing to Bioshock)—and their notable strengths:
Ori and the Blind Forest
Compelling narrative, enjoyable mechanics, impressive soundtrack, rich setting.
Mafia 2
Strong plot, GTA-inspired gameplay (it was a bit ahead of its time in 3D), definitely worth experiencing.
Mirror's Edge
Immersive experience, engaging mechanics, story is decent (neither outstanding nor weak).
Child of Light
Compelling story, atmospheric design, captivating storytelling.
Portal 1 & 2
Entertaining. While the first lacks depth, the second offers a solid build-up and well-executed gameplay.
Valiant Hearts: The Great War
Excellent storytelling (I’ll always admire that ending), engaging gameplay, educational value about history in an accessible way.
Never seen that trailer before—just watched it now. Don’t watch it beforehand (that’s why I’m showing this). Just play.
X-COM: Enemy Unknown
Compelling gameplay is what draws me in.
