Hello everyone, good day! I'm excited to ask if anyone here has information about or has used a reliable free editing software for Windows 8.1. I own a powerful custom machine, so storage size isn't an issue. Right now I'm looking for something decent to edit my videos, especially since I haven't found any good free options online. Any suggestions would be really helpful. God bless, -Will.

There aren't really any good free video editing tools available. If you're looking for something affordable, Sony Movie Studio is a good option—it's a simplified version of Sony Vegas.

Other options include Davinchi Resolve, which has some paid features but I’m unsure what’s free. Lives and Lightworks haven’t been used in a long time. For basic tools, Windows Movie Maker works well. I’m looking for affordable versions of Premiere Elements, Vegas Pro, Sony Movie Studio, or Premiere Pro. I mostly use Premiere Pro and After Effects, with occasional Vegas Pro.
