I finished a smooth setup of Windows 11 23H2 but when trying to install GOG Galaxy through the web installer, a warning pops up saying the publisher isn’t recognized. Other programs are working fine and the installer runs on two different PCs—one fully updated to 11 and another to 10. Has anyone faced this problem? Could it be related to drivers? I only had to update the chipset; the rest was handled by the OS during installation. It’s a desktop if that’s important.

Also, any chance you have an intel 13/14th gen CPU? I've seen others here running into weird install problems because the CPU is degrading

I observed identical results, though I’m uncertain about the exact date. I’m using a 9th generation Intel processor. A BIOS update was performed recently; if those caused stability concerns, would it affect performance after each OS upgrade? I ran three installations to confirm the media wasn’t the issue. Edit: fixed by applying the latest C++ Redistributables for both x86 and x64 systems. Edit 2: further testing showed the earlier note wasn’t a fix but necessary for installing and updating the offline Gog Galaxy installer, which then enabled proper publisher detection on the web installer.
