So I use Gmail through Firefox on my desktop, as well as via the Mail app on iPhone.
Since about a week ago, whenever I read and delete a message on either one, the other doesn't update with it.
This is forcing me to delete each message twice, each time.
I don’t think anything has changed between my two platforms, so I’m not sure why this is happening.
Do anyone else know perhaps?
I tried signing out and back in them, clearing cookies/browsing data, rebooting and refreshing.
Thank you.

The cynic in me believes someone has stopped performing well.
They only made software updates without thinking about what the end users have already set up or configured.
For instance, all settings are reset to defaults.
By the way (in random order):

- https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201320
- https://www.guidingtech.com/5-ways-to-fi...on-iphone/
Check the links and start with the one that seems most relevant to your case.
Hopefully, one of them or a mix of them will...

It functioned previously - right?
Are there any synchronization configurations set on either device or both?
Examine closely.
A recent update might have altered or reinstated your settings.

It has functioned previously for many years.
No synchronization options seem to be available at all.

The cynic in me believes someone has stopped performing well.
Just pushed some software updates through an update and didn’t think about the end users’ setup or any other configurations.
All settings have been reset to defaults, for example...
For reference (in random order):

Hopefully, one of them or a mix of them will point out the problem and suggest a solution.
If not, then use what you found and do further online research based on your findings to find other options.

It looks like a minor glitch occurred. The problem was fixed once I removed the Gmail account from my phone and readded it.
An update didn’t fix it because I usually only install essential updates, so it’s unclear what specifically disrupted the sync.
