I enjoy the Mercenaries titles and spend a lot of time playing them. On the PC, the Origin edition doesn’t support using the PDA method that works on Xbox and PlayStation versions. It’s puzzling because even with a standard Xbox 360 controller it fails. The game remains enjoyable when you use cheats, particularly the nuclear bomb feature—something I’ve never found in another title (even better than Fallout, Crysis, or Just Cause from 2008!).

Here’s how you typically activate cheats on console versions:
Go to your PDA during play and press the specific button sequence: Left Bumper, Right Bumper, Right Bumper, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, Left Bumper, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, Right Bumper, Right Bumper, Left Bumper. This will launch Cheat Mode, keeping your PDA open afterward. Wait for the confirmation prompt and then enter the desired cheats.

Before trying these, keep in mind two key points:
1. Achievements will be permanently disabled after using a cheat.
2. You need the latest online patch (as of November 2008) to function properly.

All Airstrikes (except nuclear) – Right, Left, Down, Up, Right, Left, Down, Up.
All Costumes – Up, Right, Down, Left, Up.
All Supplies – Left, Right, Right, Left, Up, Up, Left, Up.
All Vehicles – Up, Down, Left, Right, Right, Left.
Grappling Hook – Up, Left, Down, Right, Up (infinite).

On the PC version, entering those codes doesn’t trigger any effect.

There’s also WeMod software, but it only covers certain mods/cheats like unlimited health or money (see full list below). I’ve searched extensively online for solutions, but found few results. Given how old the game is, there aren’t many forum discussions.

The main cheats I need are “All Airstrikes” and “Nuclear Airstrike.” If anyone can make them work on the PC Origin version of Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, I’ll be happy to help! Thanks!

Note from Moderators: This is OK. These are cheats enabled by the developer and not a 3rd party application or way or enabling something that the developers themselves didn't want or intend.

It's likely the PC release didn't include those cheat codes. The console version was adapted by a different studio (LTI Gray Matter). During porting, they might have omitted, turned off, or never included the console-specific cheats. To obtain them, consider using mods if the game allows it.
