Give me reasons why I shouldn't go to console gaming
I've assembled several PCs. I don't care about the emotions I feel after building one. I focus on noise levels, cost, and my gaming experience. Console graphics (especially PS4 Pro) are similar to PC ones. I spent some time today on YouTube watching comparisons. Most games run quickly—don't forget. You don't linger in most games examining every small detail like carvings in a stone wall or pause to zoom in 4-10x as in some videos. You can't even do that. That was done in video editing (zoom).
some consoles are also quite loud. in contrast, you can effortlessly create a stylish and quiet PC (certain mid-range graphics cards remain nearly silent at peak temperatures around 60°C).
advantages of a PC versus a console
- capable of handling multiple tasks
- ideal for game editors
- affordable with enhanced graphics via custom settings
- adaptable controls using mouse and keyboard
- simple to repair or upgrade
- able to emulate console games
- frequently offers discounts on games
and more
spoiler: if you're open to pirated titles, it significantly reduces the cost of all games to zero.
Review the long post I shared earlier to understand my comments on the PS4 Pro and its noise. Also, note that the PS4 Pro supports gaming in 4K resolution. The price is around £350, but you can only purchase one part of a PC for that cost—a Ryzen 3700x. To reach 4K playback you’d need a £1,000 GPU, a £230 motherboard, a £100+ power supply, and £220 RAM, among other components.
All I can say is that's part of the experience. That's the standard we all accept. It's the price of freedom. It comes with its issues. If this isn't acceptable to you, you're welcome to seek comfort elsewhere. I'm not here to argue with you. As I mentioned earlier, if PC is making you unhappy, trying to convince you to stay won't solve your problems—it'll only provide a temporary fix until something worse happens, and then you'll be back to the same question. You're free to follow what brings you joy.
If you have about £5,000 available, price shouldn’t matter.
Do dogs urinate on brick walls?
I’m almost in agreement here. They resemble PCs quite a bit, depending on the game and how you adjust the visuals.
But do they feel the same? Do they play the same? Absolutely not...
If you want a game with lag, stuttering, blurry or choppy performance, go for the console version. But if you prefer a smooth, steady, clear and seamless experience, picture a third option beside these two at 120(24 x 5) frames per second—showing five times less lag, five times more calm, five times sharper clarity and five times better fluidity. That’s the difference between console and PC gaming in short. You either embrace lag or you don’t. You either tweak the game to suit you or play it exactly as it comes out with minimal fixes for any problems.
It's just a simple thing to say. Having 5k to spend on something that creates income doesn't automatically make me valuable. I guess the video comparison was done on a PC. It's not about console performance differences like 30FPS vs PC 30FPS or 60FPS. FPS behaves very differently on consoles. Thirty FPS can run smoothly on a console but not on a PC. There are many discussions about this: https://forums. https://www.neogaf.com/threads/30fps-on-...r.1061621/
It's all about what you prefer. Each option has its pros and cons. I own both, but I don't use them often.
