Hello, I recently acquired new components. The CPU is an i5 13600k, the motherboard is a Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE AX, and I installed DDR5 memory from Kingston FURY at 5200MHZ. I put the computer together and updated the BIOS using q flash plus. Everything functioned properly. The LED began flashing for roughly five minutes before the system powered on. After about thirty seconds it shut down. During the q flash plus process and after booting with RAM, a CPU error appeared on the motherboard. All fans are operating correctly. The red error light remained illuminated continuously. I borrowed an i5-12600k processor from a friend to test compatibility, but it didn’t resolve the issue. The CPU error persisted. I removed the CMOS battery, but the problem continued. SPECS: Processor - i5-13600k Power Supply - 650W RAM - DDR5 Kingston FURY 5200MHZ Motherboard - Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE AX DDR5 Rev 1.0 I attempted: - Disconnecting GPU - failed - Removing a RAM module - failed - Performing q flash via USB 2.0 - failed - Removing CMOS battery - failed - Switching CPU to i5-12600k - still no improvement Here is a picture of q flash plus:

We followed the same steps with his I5-12400 motherboard using DDR4. Here’s what we did: 1. Shut down the system 2. Disconnect the power cable 3. Hold the power button for 5 seconds 4. Disconnect the CMOS jumper for 10 seconds 5. Take out the GPU 6. Remove one stick of RAM (DDR4 type) 7. Reconnect the power cable 8. Press the power button and it booted into BIOS

we also attempted the Q-Flash, but shorting the CMOS jumper for 10 seconds didn't resolve the issue.

Connect two pins close to the battery. This method helps short the CMOS.

I tried my best, but I see you're facing the same issue again. Could you clarify what you need help with?

I understand the issue and I’ve faced this before with my own motherboard. It seems the memory training isn’t working properly when I first try to post. It takes a long time. I was busy requesting RMA on another machine while I forgot the Z690 12700K was still powered on. After about 10 to 15 minutes, I returned and noticed the device was still showing up on the BIOS page. This doesn’t happen during later boots. If you haven’t tried, give it a try—wait around 15 minutes, unplug it, then plug it back in and turn it on. Let it sit quietly while you wait to see if it posts.
