Hey everyone! My broken 3070 is back in working order now. I’m trying to turn on PCIE 4.0 on my Gigabyte Z490 Gaming X, but I keep missing it. I’ve already installed the latest BIOS, and this motherboard supports PCIE 4.0. It’s got an i9-10850K, RTX 3070, 32GB Corsair Vengeance at 3400MHz.

You're currently on PCIE4.0 X16, but I need to know your goal. What do you want to achieve?

Observed that CPU-Z indicates a value, while the BIOS shows 3.0.

It's odd that CPU-Z lists 4.0 while I think the 10850K can't handle it.

Confirm with GPUZ, please ensure you click the question mark next to the "PCIE Interface".

Comet Lake CPUs are exclusively PCIe 3.0. That's all that matters.

Thanks! Still puzzled about why CPUZ lists 4.0.

The system indicates PCIe4x16 support, yet it operates at PCIe3.0x16. Hover over the relevant section to view the tooltip after starting the test.
