I'm just getting started on this forum. I changed the firmware from f9b to the latest f10b, but noticed my RAM max is still 3500 MHz while f9b supports up to 3700 MHz. I upgraded the motherboard to match f9b, yet issues persist. My PC froze during the update, and after a while it crashed completely. I shut it down, tried rebooting, and even disconnected the PSU to force a BIOS backup. After flashing in f10b, I managed to install backup BIOS, but now I'm worried I lost my second BIOS entirely. I thought I updated again, but every time I try the power supply trick it doesn't work. The settings remain unchanged, and the only option is in f10b. I see the backup BIOS update works, but I'm unsure if that actually restored my main BIOS.
I attempted neviflash on www.win-raid.com. The installation of my current BIOS as the main and backup version completed successfully, both reporting 100%. After restarting, the PC confirmed identical BIOS versions. When I adjusted settings and tried the PSU trick, it appeared the same BIOS loaded despite changes. It seems the tool only triggers when there’s an actual issue, similar to what happened a few hours ago when the system froze.
