Hey everyone,
I’m trying to understand why my bios settings are all grayed out when I attempt to overclock my 6700k. The only adjustments I can make manually are Performance upgrade, CPU upgrade, and Turbo. I can turn Turbo on, which provides a small improvement, but other overclock options remain locked away. The only changes I’ve made in the bios were disabling Cstates, which eliminated sudden crashes I was experiencing.

I’ve been thinking hard all day, and any advice would be greatly appreciated. Here’s what my setup looks like:
Intel i7 6700k @ 4.0ghz
Gigabyte Z107x Gaming 7
Nvidia GTX 980 ti
G.Skill Ripjaws 2x8 TridentZ DDR4 3200
Samsung SSD 850 Evo 500GB
Rosewill 1000w Bronze series PSU
OS: Windows 10 home

Hey guys, I figured it out and it was really simple. I had to adjust the values by using the plus or minus buttons on my keyboard. The main plus or minus didn't work. If anyone else is facing the same issue, I recommend trying that method. Thanks for taking the time to help me!

Hey everyone,
I’m stuck on why my bios settings stay grayed out when I try to overclock my 6700k. The only manual adjustments I can make are Performance upgrade, CPU upgrade, and Turbo. I can turn Turbo on, which gives a small boost, but all the other overclock options remain locked. The only changes I’ve made in the bios were disabling Cstates, which stopped sudden crashes I was experiencing.

I’ve been thinking about this all day, so any advice would be super helpful. Here’s what I have:
- Intel i7 6700k @ 4.0ghz
- Gigabyte Z107x Gaming 7
- Nvidia GTX 980 ti
- G.Skill Ripjaws 2x8 TridentZ DDR4 3200
- Samsung SSD 850 Evo 500GB
- Rosewill 1000w Bronze series PSU
- OS: Windows 10 home

Try Updating your bios
Go to the official GIGABYTE website and look for the latest bios update for your motherboard.

Hey guys, I figured it out and it was really frustrating. I wasn't able to adjust the values unless I used the plus or minus buttons on my keyboard. For some reason, the main plus or minus didn't work. If anyone has a similar issue, I recommend trying that approach. Thanks for taking the time to help me!
