Hey everyone, just tried the new gigabyte Trx40 with my 3970x Threadripper. I’m aiming to run a quad 2080Ti on this card. According to specs, it should work fine. But I’m stuck—can’t add four GPUs without hitting a D4 error or Pcie allocation issue. The manual mentions it’s out of resources. Anyone have ideas? I’ve changed everything already and nothing helped.
They didn’t consider the implications, I’d have liked backward compatibility. The D4 issue suggests it lacks sufficient PCIe lanes, yet it still has enough. That doesn’t add up.
I’m fairly certain that adding even a single PCIe component causes the whole system to switch to PCIe 3.
