gigabyte x570 Bios F20 issues
Hello. I noticed this unusual pattern today. Since I purchased this device in January 2020, I updated its BIOS to version 1.0 of F11 (x570 Aorus master). Later that evening, while cooking and leaving the PC alone, the machine began acting strangely. Initially everything worked fine until dinner time when I tried to shut it down. The mouse clicks didn’t bring it back online, and the computer suddenly stopped responding as if an energy cut occurred. I plan to contact Gigabyte support and revert to the stable F11 BIOS version. If anyone has a solution, please share your thoughts. Thanks.
Explaining why sleeping is problematic often involves factors like system stability, power management, and hardware compatibility. Your approach of saving energy by sleeping may help in some cases but could affect performance if not configured properly. In F11, enabling XMP and using only SSD/NVMe storage might optimize speed, yet it’s important to avoid overclocking or altering BIOS settings—stick to defaults. If issues persist, consider testing with minimal configurations or consulting manufacturer guidelines for safe adjustments.
I've noticed many clients experience problems with sleeping on a desktop, including lockups and unexpected behavior. The boot drive's Hibernation file can become large because of memory settings, which is something that can be adjusted. Usually, we need to check the BIOS changes related to your configuration to resolve this issue.
I own the identical motherboard you mentioned, which caused problems when trying to use XMP with specific RAM modules. Additionally, two of the four USB 2.0 ports on the rear are malfunctioning after power-on.
Hello. Thanks for your reply. Yesterday night i went to bed due to Time Zone in Portugal. Well this morning i found another odd issues. Its not only happen when sleep or hybrid mode enable but It also when monitor screen get off. Then when awake monitors it only turn on 1 screen, the other get completely black. It feels some energy fault. I do not like this. So for me its done here with F20 Bios. Its a big nasty crap. I expect better from Gigabyte as well. Specially bought this Mobo for its VRM Phases that helps my CPU 3950x stay cool when rendering big loads of Assets in my Archviz daily work. I leave this comment here to help others see if they have the same problems PS: yes i have another small problems as well. I found it in the very first days. The Optical audio out at rear panel wont work as expected. The sound have crackling small noises when up or down volume as well when fast forwarding in any movie in any browsers
