Gigabyte Mobo 5 starts with a beep during startup yet successfully loads into Windows.
Hi everyone, I powered on my PC this morning and got 5 beeps but it didn’t boot. I adjusted the RAM placement and swapped out the GPU, yet the issue persisted. After looking up possible fixes online, 5 beeps indicates a CPU error, though my system still boots into Windows normally after a short wait. Should I worry? I recently upgraded my setup, which is under six months old. I have an Intel i5 11400F with GTX 1080 from Gigabyte, plus a 500GB SSD, 500GB HDD, and a 2TB HDD running on a 500W Bequiet power supply. It’s running Windows 10 64-bit. I don’t know the exact BIOS version—I think it’s the latest from January 2022. Thanks, Jad.
Everything seems fine now. I figured it out. I just purchased a Samsung G52A monitor, and somehow, if I power it up before the PC does, the motherboard will make a beep.
