Hi guys, I'm not very familiar with PCs, but I'll do my best to explain.
Here’s the current setup I have:
- Intel Core I5 6500 @ 3.2GHz
- Gigabyte H170-D3H-CF
- Two DDR4 Trident Z (3200) modules
- Nvidia GTX 1060 with 6GB RAM
- PSU is a Corsair 500W (model not known)

I recently bought RAM and want to know if I can use XMP profiles or increase the clock speed beyond 2100MHz. My motherboard is set to run at 2100MHz, but my RAM sticks are actually 3200MHz.
My computer doesn’t allow overclocking, so it’s blocked in both BIOS and the Gigabyte EasyTune app.
I’m wondering if there’s any way around this?
Also, is GPU overclocking a good way to boost performance?

XMP should function properly without requiring overclocking features.

I had to examine it a little more, you're correct, I wasn't aware I needed to adjust the page up or down to modify values.
It looks like my motherboard doesn't allow going beyond 2133 on the RAM speed.
What can I do about that?

There should be several XMP profiles, likely around 2400 and 3200.

XMP profile can be switched from Disabled to profile 1. This enables adjusting the MHZ below 2133 to various settings such as 1800 and lower, though it cannot exceed 2133.
