Gigabyte G27Q with pink vertical lines is affecting my focus...
Hello everyone, I recently received a gigabyte G27Q from a colleague. He mentioned these pink lines sometimes appear in the center of the monitor, about an inch wide. It seems to be a monitor issue, as I’m experiencing the same problem with another PC and cables. I’ve tried downloading gigabyte’s control center from their website, but it doesn’t seem to work. The drivers I found don’t communicate properly, and I’m unsure how to fix this. Any advice or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
Typically monitors aren't included with drivers. A few models offer a firmware update that this display supports. You can find details at the provided link. Downloading requires a USB cable, as it doesn't work via DP or HDMI. Visible pink lines usually indicate an issue and likely won't be resolved without sending the device in for repair.
If you place this file on a USB drive and connect it to your PC or monitor, that’s correct. Just remember, you’re using firmware, not drivers—just keep it fresh!
Everything seems fine. I need to spend about two hours setting up myself after my coffee. That won’t help. The firmware needs to be installed on the PC, and you must connect the monitor via a USB cable—those cables usually come with the device, but your friend might not have included it. The monitors typically have this kind of plug. If a regular USB cable would work, I’m not sure.
It's a fairly standard cable, so locating one shouldn't be hard. Several printers use it as well. I think the firmware won't help much, but trying the manual method should increase your chances.
