I’m working on completing my new custom setup. The components include a Gigabyte Aorus B650M Elite AX with 32GB RAM, Corsair Vengeance 5600mhz CL40 PSU, and several other parts. Everything except the SSD and GPU is brand new. I’ve cleared the SSD and used an old Intel GPU from my previous system. Despite these changes, the computer won’t boot into Windows or even a BIOS update. When I try either, it restarts repeatedly and only checks files before looping back. I suspect the issue lies with the SSD or possibly an incorrect driver for the GPU. It shouldn’t matter if this is the hardware or software problem. I’ve had to disable secure boot and enable legacy mode so the system can recognize the 970 drive or Windows install as boot options. This is unusual, but I’m not sure what’s causing it.

At startup it will go through extensive memory exercises, around 15 to 30 minutes, pushing performance to the limit while gradually slowing down and refining timing until it becomes consistent.

The B650 AORUS Pro AX needed about 45 to 60 seconds for its first boot. If many people experienced a similar delay, it’s definitely not ideal.

The positive aspect is that the Ryzen 7000 supports onboard graphics, allowing you to boot using only the built-in display.

Verify all power connectors for the motherboard and GPU are correctly positioned. Test startup using one RAM stick at a time, then switch to the other. The second CPU slot isn’t showing debug LEDs, which is disappointing.

I also tried everything, but the problem persisted. The integrated graphics won’t start, which is unusual. I consulted my team at work and they all had the same idea—no solution in sight.

Proceed with the return or RMA process immediately. Avoid any unnecessary delays.
