I just got my new B650I Aorus Ultra from Amazon today. I was thinking about flashing the BIOS and getting started with my build. But my board is revision 1.1, and I can’t find any information about that specific model/revision combination on the Gigabyte website. Everything listed there is for rev 1.0. It’s printed on the board and mentioned in the manual that came with it. I’m unsure what exactly changed between rev 1.0 and rev 1.1, except that the wireless module switched from an AMD to an Intel chip. I don’t know if updating the BIOS for rev 1.0 would damage the board running rev 1.1, and I’m a bit worried about trying it. There’s no support page, bios updates, or drivers for rev 1.1 available anywhere. I’m planning to install a 7800X3D and think it’s safest to flash the BIOS first since the processor is new. I don’t have any other AM5 boards. What do you all think? Have you encountered this issue with Gigabyte boards before? Is it safe to flash with the rev 1.0 BIOS? Should I just install the 7800X3D and hope the board works? I opened a support ticket with Gigabyte, but I have no idea how long they’ll wait for a response.
