I recently assembled a new system independently for the first time. I followed the Linux final guide for building a PC in 2024. It was very useful. The only issue was that I run Ubuntu and opened the temperature app, which seems to show the PC at idle. I’m not sure what a 58°C temperature means. When I watched a 4K video, it spiked to 85°C. I checked the BIOS after resetting and thought maybe it was just cooling down. Could you clarify where the WMI sensors are located? Are they Windows Management Instrumentation and do they affect me? Should I reapply thermal paste on the CPU?

It seems like a VRM temperature sensor is likely involved, and the readings you're observing are within acceptable ranges.
