I discovered a good offer for the Ryzen 7 7700 + Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX at 360 euros. My concern is there aren't many videos about this motherboard. It was launched in January this year, and the only details I found were on a Reddit discussion. That thread is four months old, so I'm unsure if these problems still exist. I really want to get this setup but the lack of reviews makes me hesitant. Anyone know anything about this board?

The Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX remains a solid option, and recent BIOS updates likely addressed many problems. You can follow the discussion by linking to the thread for more details. Keep in mind that most feedback tends to focus on negatives, as positive experiences are rare. I haven’t personally used this board, but I’ve tested a few Gigabyte B650 units in AM5 configurations without encountering any issues.

I’d use a 1Gb Realtek NIC instead of a POS 2.5Gb Intel one.

It's about 100 MB per second, which is manageable.

The difference won't be obvious, 1Gb equals 120MB/s, unless you're connected to the internet and using a device that takes advantage of that rate—it's improbable you'll limit that capability.

The boards are solid choices. Gigabyte performs well, and the AMD 4th generation socket is a bit more robust—it should hold up longer before AMD moves to a newer design.

That should work fine because 120MB/s is impressive.

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear enough about what you were asking. You mentioned wanting to understand the difference between the Gb speeds, noting that HDV is also good but with this offer from Gigabyte, you get a 30 euro cashback. So both options cost the same in terms of money, and you're leaning toward the Gigabyte one because it includes extra features like additional USB ports and an extra M.2 drive.
