Boards have bios flashback, dual bioses, and even if something happens there are bios programmers that many services have and those allow a bios flash even if it's bricked, and there's always the option to replace the Bios (chip). The risk is almost non-existent, especially if your power is stable (how often do you experience power disruptions?).
Occasionally, these things occur without much notice, especially during a software release when I feel fortunate.
