I have a gigabyte b550m ds3h motherboard that is meant for 1Gb Ethernet, yet when setting Speed&Duplex to 1Gb the connection becomes unstable and crashes often. I tested it with the same router and cable on another computer, which worked perfectly at 1Gb. The manufacturer checked it and confirmed no issues, but I tried using a TP-Link UE300 V4 to bypass the Ethernet port, but the problem persisted. All drivers are up to date. Any suggestions for further troubleshooting?

Upgrade the BIOS settings so the 1Gig LAN interface is activated by default during installation.

To verify if the 1Gig LAN is active, check your network settings or use a command like `ipconfig` (Windows) or `ifconfig` (Linux/macOS).

Basically, just perform a speed test. Visit Speedtest.net and run the test. If your connection is faster than 100mbs, you're already on 1 gig.

The issue arises when choosing the 1Gig setting (see image). It provides more than 100MB yet remains unstable with frequent Ethernet drops. The problem lies in the consistent crashes, which occur even on a wired connection supporting 1Gig.
