Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2 motherboard with Thunderbolt 2 PCIe card support
Hey everyone, I just bought a Thunderbolt 2 Black Magic intensity shuttle (I mistakenly thought I was getting a USB 3.0 one) and am looking for advice on connecting it to my motherboard. I've checked some options and it looks like there aren't many Thunderbolt 2 cards available. However, a newer model from Gigabyte with Mini DP ports seems like a possibility, though I doubt they'd fit my setup. I'm thinking about using that card with a Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 adapter, similar to the Apple version. I've also considered trying to connect it to a USB 3.0 port using another adapter, but I'm worried about possible issues along the way. Any tips or experiences would be really helpful!
This device needs a Thunderbolt 3 compatible USB-C connection, which is rarely found on standard desktop setups.
