Gigabyte B450 Aorus Pro is stuck on VGA LED display.
Setting up my initial Ryzen build with an R5 2600, 16GB RIPJOWS 3200, and a 1TB Kingston NVMe SSD. The lights pulse from the CPU through RAM to the VGA output, then freeze at VGA. I've experimented with three different GPUs without any improvement. Since I don't have another AM4 CPU available, I'm unsure what BIOS this board uses. Would it be necessary to borrow or steal a 2200G to test?
none at all. have tried GTX970, Vega 64, and some pallit card i found in the garage a GTS250 i think... all 3 cards work fine in my old z77 3770K system xo i know its not the cards.
The CPU may not be securely seated, it’s a good idea to verify the cooler’s connection.
Replaced the CPU and installed the boxed air cooler. Reset the CMOS multiple times. Tested with RAM in both other sockets and with just one stick. Ran the system from a removed NVME SSD. The VGA LED stopped only when I booted without RAM, then lit up again on RAM.
I need to check if I can ask a colleague for a CPU at work... Are you sure the motherboard looks fine?
