Hello friends, I'm using an R7 3800x on an Aorus X570 Pro with Wi-Fi card and a Trident Z 3600MHz RAM (approved). But whenever I attempt to run the XMP profile, I experience random system restarts. It happens more often when under heavy load, though it also occurs during idle. For now, I'm keeping RAM at 3200MHz. Are there any BIOS settings specific to Gigabyte that could help stabilize things? I've already swapped the memory, power supply, and boot drive, even tried a replacement board but had to return it with the older BIOS. They said nothing was wrong. The only remaining issue seems to be the CPU itself. Thanks!
Update the bios settings. Set the SOC to 1.1 and DRAM to 1.35. Test with 3200 using docp and xmp on. Run memtest86 or OCCT to verify stability. If stable, proceed with 3600 using the specified values. Also perform memtest86 or OCCT checks. Ensure both sticks are installed in slots 2 and 4.
It restarts in a sudden black screen followed by the BIOS message, or it may perform a standard Windows shutdown/reboot. Based on the specs I found for the 3800X at 3200MHz, it should be factory-set. Any performance beyond that is not guaranteed, even with capable RAM. You might improve by slightly increasing the DRAM voltage—around 0.025V increments could help. If the issue is related to power delivery, ensure it stays cool enough but doesn’t exceed safe limits.
