Another similar issue is occurring today. I came across your post looking for a solution. It tests the startup codes and gets stuck at 90. I changed my BIOS to F5l last week, but everything worked fine before. My setup includes an X570 master, 3900x, 2080ti MSI Trio, Corsair vengeance RGB Pro 3200, and hp nvme. I removed all components except the CPU and a RAM stick, yet the problem persists. Tried clearing CMOS and switching to a different BIOS, but nothing helped.
I recently encountered the same problem while playing Rust. I assumed it was due to a power outage or voltage fluctuation since the system shut down completely. Now it won't boot and displays code 90 with freezing behavior. I've cleared the CMOS and tried breadboarding, but I'm planning to remove the CPU and attempt a Q-Flash using the Corsair H150i Pro Aorus Master X570 Trident Z Royal 2x 16GB 3200MHz. It seems there’s a serious issue with the X570 master I’ve sent back for replacement. I’ll have to wait a week to find out why the card isn’t working properly. I’ll keep you posted as soon as it functions again.
The BIOS chip on this board is physically connected, so I'm reaching out to Gigabyte for a replacement. The Q flash works, plus processing is fine, but the problem persists. I've tested various configurations using the dip switches, and it seems the chip has completely failed.
RMA approved, now just awaiting the new motherboard. If you encounter error 90, sadly you're among the unfortunate ones.
Bad news for everyone, I removed the board from my server to check the CPU. My 3800x in the master is no longer working, but testing on my own server with a 3600 clock shows it’s functioning properly. It seems many of you might have dead CPUs instead of faulty motherboards.
Buildzoid mentioned the Master should remain active "until the heat death of the universe," which probably came from a bios update that changed the CPU settings.
