I use a Gigabyte Aorus B450m Rev1 M-ATX board. After swapping to the 5600x CPU, the older chip still performs better—could there be an issue with my setup or a compatibility problem? I'm running Gigabyte's F63C BIOS and tried their fixes but haven't managed to adjust voltages manually. Perhaps it's best to keep the stock configuration and hold off until a newer platform is available, or someone can help identify what might be going wrong. Appreciate any advice you can offer.

You might want to format your disk and reinstall Windows. Drives can behave strangely after installing a new CPU with outdated drivers.

I saved the newest chipset drivers yet nothing suggests it’s a Zen 3 problem on a more affordable non-B550 board, at least that’s what I’m telling myself.

My overclock test initally it boosted to 3.9 and this seems to be locked at its stock 3.6 im aware that it is far superior so its no real concern I was just puzzled why it wasnt overclocking.

Resolved the problem. Before the chip swap, I flashed my BIOS from f50 to f60, turned off boosting and re-enabled it. After disabling PBO Auto, the FF15 benchmark ran at 71°C with around 45% usage, so I reinstated PBO but kept boosting disabled. It worked at 4.65 GHz, though it was quite hot.
